The NGO “Medical Leaders” conducted the study “The Way to Change: Medical and Patient Perspectives on Rehabilitation in Ukraine” and presents the report on its results.
The qualitative research included focus group discussions and individual semi-structured interviews with representatives of the medical and patient community.
His goals:
- determine the audience’s awareness of changes in the direction of rehabilitation;
- analyse the pathway of patients in need of rehabilitation services;
- identify barriers that complicate the process of providing rehabilitation services;
- to hear suggestions from both communities on potential initiatives to improve access to physical and rehabilitation medicine services.
We are confident that the results of the study will be useful to partners developing the rehabilitation sector in Ukraine, and we are publishing the experts’ findings.
The initiative was made possible within the framework of the project “Supporting the Development of Rehabilitation in Ukrainian Communities”, implemented by the NGO “Medical Leaders” with the support of UNDP and funded by the governments of the Republic of Korea and Germany.
